I was relieved to find that el paso culture was represented very well in this film! It was refreshing to see real people from my city getting screen time and that they scouted from the community :’) it totally contributed to the cohesive vibe of the film!

Yes! So interesting re bob’s robe matching perfidia’s flannel! I thought his robe referenced the dude in the big Lebowski, like classic white dude jaded radical

thanks natalia and viv for the latino perspective in this movie!!! i felt weirdly inspired by benicio's look, his jean jacket later in the movie is also very latino imo. (+ the modelos too)

Sensei Sergio had the best sportswear/martial arts outfits…that’s what I wanna channel for workout classes now haha. The gi pants look so comfy too

I loved this movie and have been curious about how well it represented the locale so this was a great read. A shoutout also to Willa’s school dance look. There was so something sweet and hopeful about it but it was also a look that reflected her toughness.
