Fantastic coverage, Viv! I loved your individual interviews which each of the Devs. That’s a bunch of very fine looking brown men and some awesome hair.💕
love that there's a Cambodian Dev on the scene and that he's got the hair too (not really that surprising as south and southeast Asia are regional neighbours, our people can sometimes look similar) but yeah winning Dev/Jai just looks too much like actual Dev. Some pretty good outfits too, on the men - I noticed that the hair is an active and deliberately chosen part of their look and that's one element that doesn't get spoken of enough in fashion advice geared to women.
Eileen is right that these contests would not feel in such good spirit if it was a female celebrity lookalike contest though.
Give me all of the Dev related content. Loved the hair commentary, especially after hearing that Dev literally just uses his leftover cetaphil moisturizer as product for his hair!
This was such a fun piece! I'll admit I felt something akin to being showered in cold water when the part about this whole bit only working because its men came up, because that is so true! The air would get unsavory very quickly if we did celebrity look alike contests for women. But what a fun community event regardless.
Thank you for this. I was about to doom scroll Notes but saw the title and it made me so happy. I’m happy you got to experience this on a beautiful day in the city with genuine good vibes and people. Cheers to the Devs and to Viv!
The dev ratio on timothee HAHAHAH
i know im having so much fun checking on it today. love the molehill readership :)
This exactly !! “I love brown men and I love Dev Patel and I’m ovulating as well (laughs).
The dating scene has been kinda trash. I just wanna come here and maybe find my husband, maybe find some eye candy.”
I’m her #1 fan! She was so fun to interview
I love that you interviewed the women too. Their observations and sentiments ring really true.
absolutely!

Taking serious notes on these haircare routines as a wavy haired south Asian girl 🤓 but seriously, I am here for brown boy autumn 🔥
