Tip for those who don't swim cap- the Ceremonia Guava Leave In Rescue Spray applied to hair BEFORE going into the pool/water helps a lot and I like it for also having UV protection for hair as well.
I just started (shakily) swimming again after a 10 year absence, so this was a very welcome post! Worried about eczema once winter sets in, so I will be using that Vaseline tip.
Eczema is my worst enemy, and I've been swimming in saltwater pools so far, but will have to switch to full chlorine soon, so this is perfect! Also after much trial and error I love the Briogeo shampoo scrub for hair after pool
i have been putting off getting in the pool and swimming all summer purely out of worry for my mega sensitive skin and hair<3333 been fruitlessly searching reddit/ig for a post just like this. love.
It can be tough. Finding saltwater (or non chlorinated pools) that are accessible is hard…I would start with doing one swim and seeing how your skin and hair responds! If I go more than 3x a week things start getting fried and irritated
I started getting into swimming this year training for my first triathlon. Most public pools will supply kickboards and fins for free if you’re just starting out!

As a fellow hand eczema sufferer, that vaseline tip just blew my mind. How have I never thought of this!!!
Slather them up
