I really loved the orange polka-dot capris - polka dots and capris were two of many contemporaneous trends I predicted, alongside halter dresses/tops! Orange polka dots are also so very Sabrina Carpenter.
I loved the sailor motifs of the Anna Sui empire waist, almost baby-doll style top.
In January I speculated heavily that polka-dots would be a massive trend - I wrote an article, but due to some email mishaps I'll be reposting it soon.
I'm typing this wearing a polka-dot dress (knee-length plain bateau neck cotton from Sainsbury's) so the answer to that first question is a safe yes! I'm a huge fan of Comme des Garçons polka dots too, the polka dot/swiss dot has a very strong presence in my wardrobe and I've noticed I also often end up with pieces bearing prints that look like dots from a distance but actually aren't (what they actually are is daisies, leaves and cactus).
Love the Anna Sui top and the outfits with those capris, and also the striped pink shirt and polka dot pleated skirt+boots, that one's possibly my favourite because it takes the sweetness out of the print by pairing them with a tougher shoe look.

Bay Area evenings are chilly enough for knee socks, even in summer! These are a merino wool blend I think…
