Did anyone else catch the fall supermoon on Monday? I sky-gazed in flip flops and a cami slip while nibbling on a bunny red bean wagashi. I know I’m gonna miss these nights soon, the kind where I leave the bedroom window open before bed and the cool air flows in while I tweeze my eyebrows and brush out my dog.

Three quick things:

  • Come hang out with me and

    Arabelle Sicardi
on Sunday 10/19 in San Francisco! We’ll be talking about their new book The House of Beauty, followed by a perfume swap and press-on nail bar. Event tix here.

  • Turns out I’m not the only one who loves “Freak of Nature” oolong at Sirene. Placed my 1/4 lb order from Rare Tea Cellar. Perhaps this is the start of my teaphile journey? (Random thought, but I hope oolong doesn’t get matcha’d).

  • Solve your weeknight dinner conundrum with our epic SOUP THREAD here.

Sandy Liang x GAP is coming out on Friday, and I think it’s the most exciting retail collab of the season.

social rollout on gap’s IG.

The announcement yesterday had the molechat buzzing:

While I probably won’t be buying anything, I can appreciate the execution of this collab and understand why it has the girls so gagged.

Below the fold, I share my thoughts on each element of the collab, from the Ghibli-esque animated short film to the enduring house code of the bow (post trend saturation).

By the way, you can read my old interview with Sandy here!

1). Sandy is GAP’s clout-iest pull yet (more so than Doen).
