Good morning! As you can see, I’m trying something new today: a video where I walk you through all my tips and tricks for getting perfectly imperfect bangs. Thought it would be more fun to show rather than tell.
My credentials aren’t fancy or anything—I’m just a girl who has cut and styled her own bangs since 2021. But I did learn from valuable skills and tools from my days as a hair model, which I will pass onto you today. Also, I realize that hair comes in all shapes and textures, and the way I style mine (thick, straight, doesn’t hold curl well) may not be applicable to everyone!
The timing of this newsletter intentionally coincides with the release of Materialists. I AM SO EXCITED FOR THIS MOVIE. I loved Celine Song’s Past Lives, so I’m going into Materialists with high expectations.
I give it one week until all everyone is contemplating getting *bangs for summer* because Dakota Johnson is basically walking propaganda for bangs.
You should never ask me “should I get bangs???” because my answer will always be YES.
I’m a firm believer that there is a bang style that works for every face and personality. I’ve experimented with every length and style of bang, from micro to curtain!!! Did I love every single version? No. Bangs are sort of high risk high reward. And I love my current bangs!
