Hi! It’s a sunny day out. I’m writing this at an outdoor cafe right now in a vintage silk cami (with a spritz of my most-worn scent, *liis studied, on the blue ribbon), *prairie skirt, and saddle shoes.
Anyways, I said the next secondhand sonar drop would be jewelry-focused…but that is coming next week because I went down a vintage courreges rabbit hole last night and there were too many gems not to do a focused drop on. Everyone knows about the vinyl biker jacket and skirt sets, but courreges has so much more to offer beyond that.
I bookmarked a handful of pieces for fun, but decided to buy this 70s ski style cotton sweater because it was love at first sight. (The seller also accepted my offer, yay!). It’s like a more ornamental version of this comfy pointelle top I’ve been wearing all winter.
What I enjoy about my sourcing process is that it really is like falling down the rabbit hole in Alice in Wonderland. I start with one thing, and inevitably I come across styles, decades, textures, and past trends that pull me into side quests.
This is how it went last night: courreges > 60s mod > primary colors > sailor collars…then I ended up finding polka dot heels similar to those from Party Girl (the film) but that’s a roundup for another day.

(Neiman Marcus has a big *Carel sale right now and the *silver Kinas come out $250, the lowest I’ve seen at retail).
