Pink and brown is so back!!! 🤎 I’ve gotten really into those videos lately where people dress using palettes from that mini dictionary of color combinations lol

ah, thank you for explaining what "hard twist" means! I kept thinking the legs were somehow twisted, lol. The jeans look amazing, I'm kinda annoyed with the sizing, only up to a 28 in womens? unless I'm missing something.

I had to research hard twist as well and watched some videos to improve my material literacy of how clothing is made! And you’re right - the sizing selection from most retailers seems to run really limited and small. I did some more searching and outline has them up to 30: https://outlinebrooklyn.com/products/hard-twist-denim-five-pocket-pant?variant=40226944090221&currency=USD&utm_medium=product_sync&utm_source=google&utm_content=sag_organic&utm_campaign=sag_organic&gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAjw9p24BhB_EiwA8ID5Bkyx7VbkHAUo5MMjAq7u-iC8fPQN6vRjFPywIWeOT6SGhQzLZvOlJxoCqH8QAvD_BwE

I wonder if it is a function of being a Japanese brand and designing according to the (also limiting) standards of the Japanese womenswear market? Maybe I’ll ask Jane Herman what she knows about this and how the men’s cut/sizing would compare.

Hi Viv! How did you find the sizing on the Auralees? Did you take your usual size?

Viv Chen's avatar

Yes! I usually wear a 26 in most jeans and these are 26. Out of the (secondhand) package they were a little bit loose in the uterus area, but nothing too noticeable. After a wash and dryer cycle it felt snug.

Hi Viv! I got these jeans secondhand as well and wanted to check in that yours were ok after a dryer cycle? Always nervous with caring for a new item of clothing!

The Courreges jacket in baby blue just gives the chocolate hued pant that much more depth and richness, the pant keeps the jacket in the elegant pastels category. Nothing juvenile here, just fun and gracious.. Winning combination

LOVE! I don’t like to wear rust & siena shades, this is really kicking my brain into gear with some ideas to use these combos!

Best of luck with the fragrance event!

Love those Auralee jeans they remind me of dead stock Levi’s I used to wear. Also they look great on you! The color stories you do are so fun ❤️

I love how the bubblegum pink + brown look together. It’s upbeat, but relaxed. I also really like the pop of red with grey and dark blue! It’s a very cartoon-character palette, something that would definitely catch your eye. I feel like by the time I have red and blue together, I’m reeling away from light neutrals out of fear of looking like Captain America. But I see how grey can actually really work!

Wait fragrance swap soirée?? As in, swapping fragrances you don’t wear for others? Oh man I have so many to give. Any details you can share on the event would be welcome, assuming there’s still tickets/space/that I have understood the thing correctly :)

Ooooh, I love these color combos, they all feel very OF THE MOMENT to me in a way that the terracotta just doesn't. And I cannot wait to read your take on the Frye Campus Boot TikTok Drama.

So excited for tomorrow! And those Liis discovery sets! Their new one - Of True Minds is so different from what they have done in the past, heady and stronger than their other scents. Also excited to smell Choux Choux. Everyone's getting in on those gourmands still!

Oh def into dark rinse jeans w/a cuff and a bright red rn! Hadn’t thought to try pink - I have an old linen top that I could try that with - love the Neapolitan idea 🍨 Also if anyone is looking for the auralee style but doesn’t fit the sizes on ssense, a few years ago JW Anderson did a fantastic pair with Uniqlo that were super long and look so good with a big cuff (they even got me a compliment at blue in green which is a hardcore denim nerd store in ny lol) - they’re pretty easy to find on resale in a range of sizes, you just search “jw anderson Uniqlo high-rise slim-fit straight jeans” and stick with the dark washes: https://www.ebay.com/itm/315473971980
